Siltronic receives Intel’s prestigious supplier continuous quality improvement award
“We are extremely proud to receive the highest possible award from our key customer Intel,” says Dr. Christoph von Plotho, Siltronic president and CEO. “The SCQI award motivates us to continue our hard work to meet our customers’ ever-more demanding requirements in providing them with cutting-edge wafers which lead in terms of technology and quality.”
“Siltronic did an outstanding job of supporting Intel in 2011, including providing critical availability support following the earthquake in Japan. They continue to be an industry leader in the area of silicon metrology, and have been a key partner in supporting Intel’s development programs. Congratulations to Siltronic for winning Intel’s SCQI award,” said Tim Hendry, vice president and director of Fab Materials Operation, Intel Corporation.
The SCQI award is part of Intel’s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement program, which encourages Intel’s key suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, technology, environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 90 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems.
