HAL Trust notified us of the following on February 6, 2025 pursuant to section 43 (1) WpHG:

'Reference is made to our voting rights notification pursuant to sections 33 et seqq. of the German Securities Trading Act (Wertpapierhandelsgesetz — WpHG) dated 5 February 2025 concerning Siltronic AG.
Due to exceeding the threshold of 10% of the voting rights resulting from shares in Siltronic AG on 3 February 2025, we hereby, also on behalf of our controlled undertakings HAL Holding N.V. and HAL Investments B.V., notify you pursuant to Section 43 para. 1 WpHG of the objectives pursued with the acquisition of voting rights and the origin of the funds used to make the acquisition as follows:
 

1. The investment in Siltronic AG is made as a financial investment. 
2. Depending on the share price and the economic situation, HAL might purchase further shares in Siltronic AG within the next twelve months. 
3. It is currently not intended to exercise influence on the appointment or removal of members of the administrative, managing and supervisory bodies of Siltronic AG, other than by the ordinary exercise of voting rights in the general meeting of Siltronic AG. 
4. It is currently not intended to materially change the capital structure of Siltronic AG, in particular regarding the ratio of equity and debt and the dividend policy.

II.      Origin of Funds

Pursuant to Section 43 para. 1 sent. 4 WpHG, we hereby notify you that HAL Investments B.V. acquired the voting rights in Siltronic AG out of its own funds. 
Regarding HAL Trust and HAL Holding N.V., the acquisition occurred due to the attribution of voting rights in accordance with section 34 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG. Therefore, neither equity nor debt capital has been used.'
