The Siltronic Plant in Freiberg is situated in the immediate vicinity of Dresden, an important European center of microelectronics. Freiberg has state-of-the-art production lines 150 mm wafers and one of the most modern silicon crystal pulling furnaces. Siltronic has certainly made its mark in Freiberg. Having built a new production line (with an investment total for over EUR 400 mn.) for the new generation of 300 mm wafers, we are now seeking to extend our position in this market segment. Siltronic started the production in Fab 300-2 end of June 2004.
