Dr. Manke studied Law and Business Administration at the University of Frankfurt, where he also received his doctorate. In his career, Dr. Manke held various positons at Dresdner Bank and Degussa. Since 1990, he served as executive board member at Leybold AG and CFO at Balzers and Leybold Group, as well as board member at Philipp Holzmann AG and Carl Schenck AG. His areas of responsibility contained of Finances and Administration, with Leybold and Schenck he was furthermore accountable for Human Resources and fulfilled the task of a labor director. Dr. Joachim Manke has been Chief Financial Officer at Siltronic since January 16, 2006. He was appointed as a member of the Board at Siltronic AG with responsibility for Finance in July 2006.
